Zen Coaching Weekend Workshop: Say YES to life
Sat, 27 May 2017, 10:00 – Sun, 28 May 2017, 16:00 BST
This weekend is a condensed and powerful introduction to the essence of Zen Coaching.
Through inner listening, guided meditations, coaching exercises and working in a group we will discover the direction our hearts long for, and ways to make choices and changes in our lives that support our growth.
When we stop the fight against life in any given moment, and start accepting our reaction and response to it, we can make powerful choices because we don’t act out of resistance, fight or struggle, but from true alignment with life.
Benefits of this workshop will include new tools for supporting ourselves and others through choices and change, a renewed connection to our true purpose in life and a deeper sense of peace within as we learn to stay present with our own experience.
This workshop is suitable for anyone interested in self-development, coaching, meditation, mindfulness or body-mind inquiry. No experience of Zen Coaching is necessary, simply a willingness to support yourself and/or others through the principle of allowing presence and deep listening.
What is Zen Coaching?
Zen Coaching is a powerful, effortless coaching method founded in 2005 by Kare Landfald from Norway. He developed the approach with inspiration from many sources including the Zen Buddhist approach of Zen master Thich Nhat Hanh, Nonviolent Communication as developed by Marshall B Rosenberg, the Diamond Approach as developed by A.H. Almaas, as well as integrating current coaching models.
The approach is built upon basic mindfulness principles, or conscious presence. It is also based on an exploration of limiting beliefs, and on our true inner resources. The main method is the practice of inquiry – an inner, focused exploration based on specific questions and a supporting listening practice.
The ‘goal’ of Zen Coaching is achievable right here, right now – simply by noticing, allowing and fully experiencing our experience in this moment. There is no need to wait, no need to seek fulfillment in the future. Fulfillment, ease and wisdom are the essence of whatever experience we are having right here, right now.
