This events focus on Guqin, aiming at holding the music concert with Guqin Solo, ensemble of Chinese traditional instrument (Guqin, bamboo flute, Kunqu Opera), delivering lecture on traditional Chinese music, exhibiting Guqin and its` unique producing procedure.

Kunqu opera and guqin successively listed in 2001, in 2003 the United Nations educational, scientific and cultural organization of human oral and non-material cultural heritage list. The earliest recording of Guqin as an instrument could trace back to 4000 years ago. The guqin is a plucked seven-string Chinese musical instrument of the zither family. It has been played since ancient times, and has traditionally been favoured by scholars and literati as an instrument of great subtlety and refinement, as highlighted by the quote "a gentleman does not part with his qin or se without good reason,"[1] as well as being associated with the ancient Chinese philosopher Confucius. It is sometimes referred to by the Chinese as "the father of Chinese music" or "the instrument of the sages". The guqin is not to be confused with the guzheng, another Chinese long zither also without frets, but with moveable bridges under each string.

Guqin Artist: Zhizang

Zhizang started learing Guqin since 1994 with one of the famous Guqin Artists Gong Yi, instructed by a lot of Chinese top Guqin artists. In 2004 he setted up Baina Guqin Gollege at Xiamen and in 2010 established Xiexietang Guqin College at Shanghai. He is also an expertise in the manufacture of Guqin.

Guqin Artist: Bin Tang

Representative young Guqin artist, composer, teacher in SUFE. Dedicated in modernization of traditional music. Adapted theme songs of Game of the Throne and Sherlock Homes. The video posted on line attract more than 10 million`s click rate and which was reported by CCTV International. He is also an experienced concert organizer, director. Established Dayinxisheng (the Rarity of the Great Music Works) non-profit organization aims to protect the Guqin and its music by delivering lecture, organizing concert in the local community and making micro film.

Kunqu Opera Performer: Aiping Kong


Famous Kunqu actress in China, national first-class performer. The winner of both Plum Blossom Prize and Orchid Best Performer. Awarded by the UNESCO because her effort on promoting Kunqu art. Nominated by the Taiwan Best Traditional Music Translation Award. Teaching in Nanjin Normal University and Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics. She has done tour performance around the world for many times, such as UK, US, Canada, Japan, Italy, Franch etc.

Flunt Artist: Di Zhang

Professional flunt artist, specialized in Chinese flunt for more than 30 years. In 2013, he attend the Spring Festival Gala of CCTV with Guzheng artist Jing Chang and Greek music band. In 2016, he went on a city tour in Germay with a Chinese Dancing Drama Group.
