An informal session for Eco-Leads to meet each other and speak to the LBWF Climate Action Outreach Coordinator will now be held at this time in the foyer of Waltham Forest Town Hall, Fellowship Square.

The details below are for the postponed event - Please email poppy.flint@walthamforest.gov.uk if you were interested in attending so you can be sent information of future teach-meets .

All Waltham Forest teachers, of all year groups, are welcome to take part in Climate Action teach - meets and join the Eco-Leads network.

This session is being held at Waltham Forest Town Hall. The room name will be sent out in a reminder.

Session schedule:

Arrive from 3:45pm for refreshments,
Workshop will run 4:15 - 5:15pm
Informal conversation until 5:30pm

The teach-meet will be led Henry Greenwood, founder and director of Green Schools Project. Students across the country are taking part in their free Zero Carbon Schools programme, developing leadership skills and undertaking meaningful climate action projects.

Participants will:

learn about Green School Project's approach to teaching about carbon footprints
find out what are the key causes of climate emissions in schools and how to measure them
be provided with examples of how to involve students in the process and projects students can lead on to reduce the schools carbon footprint

All participants will have the chance to ask questions and share what is happening on this topic at their school.
