Blush, eyeliner, eye shadow, mascara, face powder, body scrub and a multipurpose balm are all cosmetics you can either do by yourself easily, or obtain from everyday natural products you never thought possible. Body lotion is a no brainer too. Shaving with a foam cream that comes in a disposable package? Not anymore. In this practical workshop we'll talk about the "Dirty Dozen" as well as the commercial alternatives out there in glass containers that help achieve the zero-waste lifestyle.
The workshop will be hosted by Maria Stone, a London-based Chilean lawyer and a self-proclaimed green queen advocating for all things organic, fair-trade and natural. She's also founder of Zero Waste Life, London’s first zero waste community organised through meetup.com. She carries out monthly workshops to help people achieve minimalism with a purpose, that is finding the essential to live a more balanced, conscious and eco-friendly life. After graduating with distinction at London College of Fashion’s MA Fashion Journalism, she champions ethics and aesthetics in her freelance writing. As founder and editor-in-chief of Miel magazine (Chile’s first bilingual online platform for slow life and zero waste) she curate a collection of musings and inspiring advice, tips, tutorials and features on how to live more simply and happily.
