About this event
ZIGGYFEST 2025 - A New Festival Celebrating the Life, Legacy & Creative Energy of David Bowie
Step into the stardust! This September, the inaugural ZIGGYFEST launches at Ziggy Green, on Heddon Street, where the iconic Ziggy Stardust album cover was shot- for a full-day, full-spectrum celebration of one of music’s most visionary artists!
Hosted by Katie Puckrik and Chris Sullivan, highlights include rare performances and talks from Bowie’s close collaborators - Spiders from Mars drummer Woody Woodmansey, Bowie stylist Suzi Ronson, and Live Aid guitarist Kevin Armstrong among others. Expect exclusive artwork, an all-vinyl Bowie DJ set from legendary producer Stephen Street, a Bowie brunch, and powerful live music into the night.
ZIGGYFEST also features the city’s biggest Bowie lookalike competition, a Ziggy-inspired makeover studio, Bowie walking tours with V&A curator Geoff Marsh, and an on-site photography exhibition with iconic imagery from Terry O’Neill, Brian Duffy and more.
Coinciding with the opening of the David Bowie Centre at V&A East, this unforgettable day is in support of Sarabande, the Alexander McQueen foundation for fearless creatives.
Highlights include:
· Bowie Brunch with Suzi Ronson – Ziggy Stardust’s stylist and tour insider
· Talks hosted by Katie Puckrik in the Colony Room Green, including Chris Duffy, son of Aladdin Sane photographer Brian Duffy
· DJ set by legendary producer Stephen Street (Blur, The Smiths)
· Live music from Bowie’s collaborators including Kevin Armstrong (Bowie’s Live Aid guitarist), Mat Hector (Iggy Pop), Clare Hirst (sax), Cliff Slapper (Garson biographer) and more
· London’s biggest David Bowie Lookalike Competition
· 16-piece Soho Saints Brass Band performing Bowie’s hits
· Ziggy Stardust-inspired makeup studio
· Morning Bowie walking tours with V&A curator Geoff Marsh
· Photographing Bowie exhibition at Ziggy Green (7–13 Sept)
All proceeds go to Sarabande Foundation, founded by Alexander McQueen to support fearless new creatives, a fitting tribute, as Bowie famously wore McQueen’s Earthling Union Jack jacket and shoes in his final years.
Whether you're a Bowie devotee, curious creative or just here to dance - ZIGGYFEST is your invitation to celebrate the man who fell to Earth.
