Description

Zinzi Minott: What Kind of Slave Would I Be?

Thu 28 Nov 19.30

£6/£4.80* Booking essential

What Kind of Slave Would I Be? WKOSWIB? (pronounced nWIK-uooh-IB) is a performance work by dance artist Zinzi Minott, which investigates the consequences of slavery and slave history on the artist.

WKOSWIB is a time-travelling dance piece, framed by sound from musical artist Nkisi, images by artist Rohan Aiyinde, and film by Minott herself.

WKOSWIB is a physical interrogation into a heavy topic, expect to be challenged, moved, and pleased. Expect a sensory bath into the archives and a fresh look into how dance and history can sit side by side. Anticipate bass-line, shiny things and modernity.

*Online booking fee applies. Concessions include: Students, unwaged, aged 60+. BALTIC operates a no refunds policy.
