This 2.5 hour online training is for staff to train to deliver the Skills for Life programmes - Zippy’s Friends, Apple's Friends or Passport.

Part 2 of the Training: A Follow-up Support and Good Practice session on Wednesday 14th January, 15:30–16:30.

What are Zippy's Friends, Apple's Friends and Passport?

Zippy's Friends, Apple's Friends and Passport are mental health promotion programmes for years 1 or 2 (Zippy) years 3 or 4 (Apple) years 5 or 6 (Passport). They have been proven to develop children's social and emotional skills, improve the class climate and reduce bullying. It is delivered to the whole class over 18-24, 45-minute sessions.

The programmes meet all elements of the Mental Wellbeing requirements of the statutory guidance for Relationships and Health Education for primary schools in England and support many other key requirements.

Who should attend?

The class teacher or another education professional who will deliver the programme to a whole class or group of children. Only those who attend the online training will be able to deliver the programme - the programme is not able to be cascade trained.

*Each staff member wishing to deliver the programme(s) needs to attend training
