NWG is as delighted as ever to welcome back Zoe Lodrick with this course - a follow on from her Unveiling the Psychology of Sexual Exploitation course. 

This course is aimed at practitioners who have attended Zoe's 'Unveiling the Pscyhology of Sexual Exploitation' Seminar. 

Zoe is a UKCP Registered Psychotherapist and an experienced Trainer and Consultant. She has over 22 years experience of providing psychotherapy to women and men who have experienced rape, sexual assault and/or childhood sexual abuse; and providing training and consultation to professionals who work with victims/survivors of sexualised traumas (whether therapeutically or within the criminal justice system).

Zoe is generally recognised as having specialist knowledge/expertise in sexualised trauma, domestic abuse, victim behaviour, sex offending and the interviewing of victims of sexual crimes. Additionally Zoe has considerable knowledge regarding the therapeutic needs of victims/survivors of rape, sexual assault, child sexual exploitation/abuse and domestic abuse.

There will be a morning session from 0930 to 1200 followed by an afternoon session from 1300 to 1600.

During the day Zoe will be covering the following areas; 

- Recap the neurobiology of threat.

- Trauma symptomatology will be considered in light of the neurobiology in terms of: what was done, what that did and what is now needed.

- Practical skills for managing trauma symptomatology will be outlined.

- Guilt and shame: both the why and how to work with will be explored.

- Consideration for the wellbeing of the trauma worker will be highlighted; secondary and vicarious traumatisation will be explained and how we can better protect ourselves and our colleagues from the impact of the work we do.

• What is the refund policy?

Once a place is secured you may amend your delegate name without charge. You may cancel your booking up to one calendar month without charge. Any cancellations made within two weeks of the training date will incur 50% charge. Any cancellations made within a week of the training will be liable for full payment. If we cancel the training for any reason, we will refund 100% of the fee, but will not be held liable for any travel or accommodation costs incurred. We always endeavour to reschedule a date as opposed to cancelling it.

• Is my registration/ticket transferrable?

In the event of you being unable to attend you may transfer your ticket to a colleague with prior permission from the NWG.
