Zoom: Learning and practicing the basics

Zoom is one of the most popular video platforms. Community groups, teachers, colleges, counsellors and friends are increasingly using it to keep in touch during the COVID-19 lockdown.

It’s being used to run classes, choirs, coding clubs, discussions and even virtual pub quizzes.

Our introductory sessions are designed to allow local residents and groups an opportunity to learn and practice the basics, without any pressure and no question is too basic.!

You may be looking to use it with your group and want to practice before the big event, you may have specific questions about some of the features you have used already or you might be a first timer.

All are welcome and sessions are free

• Practice video/ audio settings

• Practice using chat and ‘reactions’

• Sharing screens and sending files

• Whiteboards and annotation

• Breakout rooms

• Creating an account

• Scheduling a meeting

• Your questions answered

These sessions run on a weekly basis (11, 18, 25 May,1st June) but separate sessions can be arranged for groups of 4 or more.
