Zoom pastel workshop, 'Evening in Trafalgar Square'
Overview
Join us for a live zoom pastel workshop to capture an evening in a beautiful part of London. Looking at painting lights reflecting on the wet pavement, how to draw simple silhouetted figures, and how to simplify perspective.
Rebecca will show you in simple stages how she constructs a perspective drawing of a street scene, uses limited colour to capture dramatic evening lighting, and how she creates a sense of space in a cityscape.
There will be a recording available the day after the session if you register for the event.
You will receive a detailed list of materials, photographs for reference, and a drawing to help you if you need it.
We will use soft pastels for this piece. You do not need to have the exact colours that Rebecca will use. We will work on a cool mid- or dark-tone pastel paper or surface for the main piece, and some practise paper for a tonal and colour sketch.
How the session works...
I will be demonstrating in my studio, and my ever-patient husband André will be hosting the zoom session. You can ask questions during the demonstration, using the ‘chat’, and I can answer questions at the end, face to face.
A recording of the session will be available after the workshop if you have registered for the event.
When you register for the workshop, you will receive a confirmation email
This will contain the links that you need for the zoom and also to access the PDF containing all the information you need, including reference photos and a materials list.
**PLEASE LOOK IN YOUR SPAM FOLDER if you do NOT receive your EMAIL very soon after booking.
If you do NOT RECEIVE it, PLEASE GET IN TOUCH!**
Please read ALL of the information.
I look forward to seeing you on Monday 5th January!
