Ready to bring your (research) stories to life on camera? Join our hands-on filmmaking workshop and learn how to get started with using camera equipment.
During this two-part skills workshop you will be introduced to the fundamentals of moving image production, from basic film theory and techniques, to trying your hands at operating the College’s new camera and sound recording equipment available in the SOUTHWORKS Digital Media Lab.
This is an introductory course for anyone curious about filmmaking. You'll walk away with an essential understanding of how to use the film equipment and the confidence to take your next step in filmmaking. No prior experience is necessary—just bring your enthusiasm.
The workshop starts in the Digital Hub main event space.
Includes refreshments.
Following the workshop, attendees will be able to book the filmmaking equipment and facilities in the Digital Media Lab to record their own films.
Hosted by Dr Janina Schupp, the Digital Hub Fellow and film studies researcher, and Tracy Ludlow, Digital Hub AV Technician.
