HAPAX is founded and run by Christiane Monarchi and Gordon MacDonald. Our magazine commissions new photographic ideas, which we publish twice per year in print and don’t share online. We believe in incubating new projects, which are in some way a departure from an artist’s previous practice, to help artists and curators test out their new ideas in a publication full of ideas and images which haven’t been published before. Every magazine sold helps fund the next commission opportunities.
