Gwent Public Services Board (PSB) CCRA Team
This event is part of the Climate Change Risk Assessment (CCRA) taking place across Gwent on behalf of Gwent PSB.
The Gwent Climate Change Risk Assessment is a region-wide initiative to help public services, communities, and decision-makers understand and respond to the growing risks of a changing climate in Gwent. Through expert analysis, inclusive engagement, and leadership development, the project will deliver practical insights and tools by March 2026 to support climate adaptation across Gwent. This is a unique opportunity for stakeholders to shape the future resilience of their communities and local services — by contributing their knowledge and sharing their experiences to enrich the risk assessment.
The Gwent CCRA will assess how individual, combined and cumulative risks from climate change might impact on Gwent’s public services and communities as the climate continues to change in coming years. This includes effects on essential infrastructure, utilities, business and economy, health, nature recovery and the diverse communities of Blaenau Gwent, Caerphilly, Newport, Monmouthshire and Torfaen.
The CCRA process is due to run between 15 October 2025 and 31 March 2026. The success of the CCRA will be dependent on public sector partners reaching out both internally and externally to ensure the right individuals are engaged to inform the CCRA analysis. PSB members are encouraged to let key people know about the project and to pass on invitations to participate as the project progresses.
