Hi, I’m Clara , an artist, art teacher, and yoga teacher with a deep love for the healing power of craft.

My journey with making started early, but the pivotal moment came during my studies in textile design and knitwear at university. At the time, I viewed creativity through a competitive, outcome-focused lens ,everything had to be perfect, polished, or worthy of selling. After stepping back and rediscovering craft simply for the joy of it, I realised how profoundly calming, grounding, and restorative it can be.

Working with my hands brings me back to myself. Whether it’s the tactile comfort of fabric or the uplifting energy of colour and paint, creating helps me feel present, peaceful, and connected ,and that’s what I’m passionate about sharing with others.

Why I love teaching:

I’ve had the pleasure of teaching a wide range of people ,from nursery children to retired adults ,mainly in art and textile design. Across every age, the magic is the same: that spark of joy when someone learns a new technique, finds their flow, or realises they can create something beautiful. I love being part of that moment.

Craft is naturally non-competitive, exploratory, and fun, and teaching allows me to build spaces where people can play again , a skill many adults forget they still have. Creating together also builds community, something I believe is essential for resilience and wellbeing in our ever-changing world.

A little about my experience:

• I’m a trained art and design technology teacher with years of experience in schools and community settings
• I’m also an artist and qualified yoga teacher, which influences the calm, mindful nature of my workshops
• I’ve taught hundreds of students across different ages and stages
• My specialist areas include art, textile design, and creative mindfulness

Most people don’t realise just how therapeutic craft can be , how it invites you to slow down, focus, explore, and reconnect with yourself. My workshops are designed to offer exactly that: a welcoming, playful, and grounding creative experience.
