Neelam Zahid
Neelam Zahid is an Integrative psychotherapist, counsellor, clinical supervisor, and trainer with over twenty years’ experience working in therapeutic, educational, and community settings. She teaches on counselling and psychotherapy training and currently works in private practice alongside her academic and training roles.
Her work is particularly informed by an interest in racialised experience, power, and difference, and how these are present in the body, relationships, and professional contexts. She is attentive to how race and power enter spaces, sometimes through words, and often through silence and recognises the importance of creating conditions where experiences can be met with care, choice, and containment.
Neelam has written and contributed to a number of publications on race and psychotherapy, including work exploring racism, identity, and therapeutic practice.
