Off The Record Norwich

OFF THE RECORD hosts in-person conversations on a wide variety of topics including (but not limited to): politics, philosophy, technology, psychology, culture and society.

This is a group and community designed for critical thinking, speaking, learning, discourse and debate with an emphasis on freedom of speech and no judgement. This is a place to learn, discuss and debate, test other people's ideas and your own without the fear of being judged or shut down. There is no such a thing as "bad", "stupid" or "wrong" opinion — at the end of the day you can agree to disagree and move on.

Emotions, disagreement, discourse and debate are allowed and encouraged, but please remember that you are responsible for your own behaviour, so we still expect respect and decent behaviour regardless of how passionate you are on any particular subject or topic.

OTR is NOT: networking or business setting, OTR is a space for thoughtful, open discussion in a respectful and intellectually curious environment. We value and encourage genuine human conversation, nuance, critical thinking, and meaningful dialogue across differences.

From academics and professionals to creatives, technologists, activists and simply curious minds, OTR aims to create spaces where difficult, interesting and often neglected conversations can happen honestly and in good faith.
