We are a volunteer group whose aim is to protect and enhance the River Granta, a rare chalk stream which runs through our village in South Cambridgeshire. As a RiverCare group, we organise regular litter picks and conduct citizen science surveys including water sampling for the Greater Cambridge Chalk Stream Project and riverfly monitoring for the Riverfly Monitoring Initiative. We enjoy organising events to promote a love of nature to local residents. In 2024 we ran our first Bioblitz and have subsequently run bat, butterfly and bee walks, moth and small mammal trapping.
