Street Smart Improv Comedy
Hi, I’m Shardul. I believe everyone has a spark that occasionally gets buried under the weight of adulting, spreadsheets, and schedules. I'm here to help you find yours.
I've been an improviser for seven years, fueled by a lifelong love for performance art, sketch comedy, and sitcoms. But for me, improv wasn't just a hobby — it was a lifeline. I started my journey as a way to navigate my grief after losing my father, and I never looked back. It didn't just change my weeknights; it changed my life.
Before founding Street Smart Improv Comedy, I ran Loudoun Improv Comedy for several years and have had the joy of teaching hundreds of students. I've performed on countless stages and podcasts, and produced shows for audiences of over 100 people. My mission now is to take everything I've learned and strip away the "performance pressure," creating a high-trust playground where you can fail joyfully and leave feeling more vibrant than when you arrived.
On the personal side, I've called Ashburn home since 2006, though my roots stretch from the Philly metro area to Delaware, Pittsburgh, and India. I'm a lucky husband of nearly 28 years and a father to two adult children. Most importantly, my wife continues to stay married to me, so I must be doing something right!
I can't wait to welcome you into our community and show you how "unscripting" your life can be the best part of your week!
