LTHT ETOC Team
Enhanced Therapeutic Observation and Care (ETOC) (often referred to as enhanced care, enhanced therapeutic observations, 1:1s or specialing) is a set of interventions which contributes to safe and effective care of patients. ETOC interventions aim is to promote recovery, preserve safety & dignity of the patient/s receiving it.
More than ever before, the NHS is caring for non-independent patients who require an increased level of observation and/or intervention to maintain their safety while under our care.
LTHT aims to ensure the safety of all patients who require support throughout their journey in LTHT services, including those with lived experience of trauma and mental health challenges and to holistically care for all patients needs while in LTHT.
