Our mission

We’re passionate about opening the gates to Shropshire’s past, sharing the grit and joy of those who worked this land for centuries before us. We help visitors trace food from field to fork, feel nature’s wellbeing boost, and dig into farming’s old skills to tackle today’s challenges like climate and sustainability. Most of all, we connect people to the land, their food, and each other.

We promote and preserve rural and endangered crafts, as well as provide a home for heritage livestock and rare breeds.We are proud that our Heritage Farm gives our local community the opportunity to share their histories, skills, stories and knowledge, as the history of Acton Scott Heritage Farm is embedded all around us, not just on our land.
