From 2012 to 2016, Dr. Gow served as a Guest Researcher at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in Washington D.C., where she co-designed and conducted the world’s first randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trial investigating omega-3 essential fatty acids in adults with ADHD using neuroimaging techniques (fMRI). She is also formally trained in EEG/ERP research methodologies.
In 2018, she worked as Director of Research and Development at The Amen Clinics in Costa Mesa, California—an integrative mental health centre founded by renowned psychiatrist Dr. Daniel Amen.

In 2024, her award-nominated organization Nutritious Minds Trust was awarded official charitable status (Charity Number: 1206658). The charity offers education, advocacy, and support for neurodivergent children, young people, and their families. As part of its outreach, Dr. Gow developed the innovative Crime & Nourishment training program—delivering science-based nutritional education to staff and inmates in UK prisons including HMP Belmarsh, HMP Wandsworth, and HMP Pentonville.
Since 2017, Nutritious Minds has hosted a series of sold-out community events focused on brain health, neurodivergence and integrative approaches to wellbeing. The charity now hosts its annual conference, NeuroBloom, during ADHD Awareness Month, providing a unique platform that brings together clinicians, researchers, practitioners, speakers with lived experience and wellness activities to share knowledge, inspire meaningful conversation and, above all, build community. Dr Gow remains passionately committed to disrupting and preventing the playground-to-prison pipeline, which disproportionately impacts neurodivergent children and young people.
In May 2026, Dr Gow founded Nutritious Minds Clinic, bringing together a multidisciplinary team of nine practitioners to provide a holistic, integrative and personalised approach to brain health, emotional regulation and wellbeing. The clinic was established to help fulfil a longstanding need to place nutritional biology back into psychology, integrating psychological, nutritional and wider health perspectives within personalised care. She is also the founder and host of the Nutritious Minds Podcast, available on Spotify and Apple Podcasts.
