With 300 years of colourful history to celebrate and communicate, Soho needs and deserves a museum. Soho is a cosmopolitan melting pot, home to Royalty and radicals alike, attracting all that is best - and sometimes worst - in humanity, and yet remaining a working community.

To show this, members of the community have enthusiastically collected records, artefacts and ephemera to form the nucleus of a museum, in a space dedicated to exhibiting our history.

The Museum itself is in the heart of London, a few minutes’ walk from the Elizabeth line and with an entrance directly on Dean Street.

The Board of Directors has come together from all walks of Soho life and is committed to ensuring that we shall open a museum of the highest quality which will serve residents and workers as well as tourists.

The Museum is intended to show change and continuity in the area, using artefacts and audio-visual material. We also plan to hold temporary exhibitions throughout the year, and to have a full programme of lectures, events, and demonstrations accessible to adults and children.
