Fashion Futures
Fashion Futures is a free-to-show bi-annual catwalk show for emerging fashion designers, which launched during London Fashion Week in September 2019 - doubling as a fundraiser for The Prince’s Trust.
The first show took place at WeWork’s iconic and historically fashion-affiliated Devonshire Square location, London, on the evening of Sunday September 15th 2019. Four talented emerging fashion designers debuted their SS/20 collections, at no cost, in a pioneering, visually-stunning 20-minute catwalk show. It was followed by an after party, which was also used to raise funds for The Prince’s Trust, through text to donate. Entrepreneurs who have been supported by the charity were also volunteering at the event, and the selected fashion designers were eligible for business mentoring from The Trust.
The next show will be at Borough Market on Sunday September 16th - the first held there since Alexander McQueen's iconic breakthrough show It's A Jungle Out There in 1997.
Beyond the show we intend to help emerging designers with making their businesses sustainable through business mentoring, free desk space, and other pro bono initiatives created with affiliates - so we can discover the next Alexander McQueen or Stella McCartney.
Our long-term vision is to expand to New York, Paris and Milan fashion weeks, giving 32 emerging designers per year a free show - making Fashion Futures a global initiative.
