My Birth
Hi, I’m Aileen White and I founded My Birth Support CIC (community interest company = not for profit)in 2021 in Canterbury, after 8 years of offering perinatal mental health support to parents in Medway, Merseyside and online!
I’ve been serving families in this way for the past 13 years since overcoming Tokophobia (fear of childbirth) and becoming a parent myself. As a qualified, experienced teacher and Trauma Informed Ambassador, I am passionate about helping you learn a personalised toolkit of creative strategies to help you learn to flourish and thrive. A lot of our support is offered in groups because this helps you to have a sense of belonging as you become more resilient and confident in your parenting journey.
I am also the parent of a neurodivergent child and seek to be as inclusive as possible in all I do. Whether your family are neurodivergent, disabled, LGBTQIA+, global ethnic majority or have other specific needs, I will tailor our support to better suit you wherever possible.
If you are joining us online, do get a snack, drink, choose a comfortable relaxing place in your house and perhaps add a little quiet music to set the scene at home.. If you are joining us in person, we will provide this relaxed environment for you.
My Birth Support CIC is a registered Community Interest Company and we offer you bespoke support over the Internet or face to face in and around Canterbury, UK in groups or individually. You can find out more here. Wherever possible, we seek to make this support affordable, offering everything on a pay-what-you-can-basis and making further concessions available for low income families. Thank you to our current grant funders who help to make this possible including Kent Community Foundation, People's Postcode Lottery, The National Lottery Community Fund and Kent County Council.
