Tewkesbury Nature Reserve

Tewkesbury Nature Reserve

Tewkesbury Nature Reserve is a small, independent, charity lead nature reserve close to the centre of Tewkesbury. Nestled in between the Wheatpieces, Priors Park, and Stonehills housing estates, our green space is ideally placed right on the doorstep for many Tewkesbury residents. We host regular free events, such as our Wildlife Walk and Talks. The reserve is free to access year round, 24/7, as is our car park.

The reserve is situated on a floodplain so the conditions in the winter months can be wet and muddy (or entirely flooded!). Wetland and floodplain habitats are important ecosystems that can support 40% of all species. Tewkesbury Nature Reserve is frequented by a range of wildlife, from the large and majestic grey heron to the small but vocal chiff chaff.

We regularly update our social media pages on Instagram and Facebook (@tewkesburynaturereserve) with the upcoming events and terrain conditions. Please note there are no facilities on the reserve, however the town centre is a short walk away where there are numerous cafes, pubs, and restaurants.

If you have any queries when booking onto an event, please email info@tewkesburynaturereserve.org.uk
