DATACENTRE.ME (DCME) is a trusted resource for data centre professionals and a hub for both vendors and end users. Through industry news, a business directory, events and training opportunities, DCME helps people across the sector connect, stay informed and build valuable business relationships.

Since launching in December 2011, DCME has grown into a well-established information portal for the data centre industry. What began as a specialist online resource has developed into a platform that supports the sector not only through content and connections, but also through in-person events that bring the industry together.

How We’ve Grown

DCME launched its networking events in September 2013, creating opportunities for professionals across the industry to meet face to face, strengthen relationships and open up new business conversations. Since then, we have run successful events primarily in central London, as well as our first end-user networking event in Dublin in November 2019.

While DCME was founded in 2011, the business has evolved through the dedication, ideas and day-to-day input of a wider team over many years. The move into events was shaped through early collaboration, and the continued growth of DCME has been driven by the people who have helped build its reputation, deliver its events and support its customers.

From 2018 onwards, the business entered a new phase of growth through the close involvement of Nikki and Ruth, who worked full time within the business and played a major role in its development before acquiring DCME in 2024. Their leadership has helped preserve continuity for customers while also strengthening the business behind the scenes.

Since the change in ownership, the focus has been on building a more resilient and sustainable company, with improved processes, clearer structure and a workplace model that better supports the team. This has helped ensure that DCME continues to offer the same personal service and industry knowledge it is known for, while becoming stronger, more visible and less reliant on any one individual.

Today, DCME is very much a team-built business. Its success reflects the contribution of the people who manage operations, support sponsors and partners, produce content, run events and help create a positive experience for the wider data centre community.
