About Summerseat Village Collective

Summerseat Village Collective is a volunteer-led community organisation dedicated to protecting, improving and celebrating our village.

We believe that thriving communities are built by the people who live in them. By bringing neighbours together, we create opportunities to care for our shared spaces, support local wildlife, learn new skills and build lasting friendships.

Our volunteers look after a wide range of community projects, including:

The island beehives

The Memorial Garden

Village flower barrels and planting schemes

The community orchard

The education hub, forest school area and dipping pond

The basketball courts and community activities

Environmental and heritage projects across the village

Alongside our volunteer work, we also organise events and experiences that help raise funds for these projects and encourage more people to discover what makes Summerseat special.

Our popular Bee Experiences give visitors the chance to step inside the fascinating world of honey bees while helping to support the ongoing care of our apiary and environmental initiatives.
