The Metadata & Discovery Group in Scotland (MDGS) (formerly the Cataloguing and Indexing Group in Scotland (CIGS)) is a sub-group of the Chartered Institute of Library & Information Professional's Metadata and Discovery Group.

MDGS organises events, seminars and conferences for members and the wider cataloguing and metadata community in Scotland, and promotes the use of bibliographic and related metadata standards for resource discovery and collection management.
