Vanessa Claridge
I’m an artist based in North Kent whose work is shaped by walking, landscape, folklore and shared creative experiences.
Working through collective walking, printmaking, textiles and participatory workshops, I create gentle, welcoming spaces for shared observation, creativity and connection. Much of my work begins through walking, gathering and spending time within the landscape, using natural and foraged materials alongside accessible creative processes.
Inspired by local histories, folklore and the changing coastal environments of Sheppey and the Swale, my projects often explore how creativity can help us reconnect with place, with each other, and with the overlooked details of the natural world.
Alongside exhibitions and installation work, I lead artist walks, workshops and community events designed for both curious beginners and experienced creatives alike. No experience is needed — just a willingness to slow down, notice more, and have a go.
