The Showroom gives space and opportunity for visionary artists to research, experiment and take risks to produce and engage meaningfully with audiences on some of the most important issues of our time.

As a not-for-profit contemporary art gallery, we commission and present art projects and exhibitions that challenge ideas about what art can be and do. For over 40 years, The Showroom has been a pioneer of socially engaged art practice, and we continue to be deeply committed to collaboration between artists and participants from our local community, with whom we have a longstanding relationship and track record of working together.
