African-Caribbean Sports Forum Northern Ireland

AFRICAN-CARIBBEAN SPORTS FORUM NORTHERN IRELAND (ASFNI) is a charity, independent, non-governmental and Belfast-UK based sports-cultural organisation. It uses the medium of sports to institutionalise cultural identity, to showcase not only the vibrancy of African and Caribbean cultural heritage but also other cultures, to tackle isolation, and to integrate and socialise. We diversify sports in Northern Ireland by adding our voice to the sports development of the nation, providing platforms for Africans, Caribbeans and other minority groups to freely participate in sports and to play a pivotal role in making Northern Ireland a multicultural sports nation. We are greatly premised on promoting good relations, togetherness, cross community relations, a peaceful Northern Ireland, and both physical and mental activities with the aim to foster active and healthy lifestyle.

Founded in May 2016 and officially unveiled by 2016 Lord Mayor of Belfast -  on 6th day of August 2016 during our maiden Sports-Cultural Festival 2016 where the first final match of Titanic Inter-Community Football Cup was played between Nigerian Community and Ghanaian Community in Northern Ireland.
