The Alzafar Shrine Honor Guard Unit supports the Potentate at the Alzafar Shrine Center by proudly displaying the colors of our nation. Our dedicated team of members is committed to honoring the traditions and values represented by the American flag.

Mission Statement:

Our mission is to honor and preserve the dignity of our nation’s flag, while promoting patriotism and community engagement through ceremonial duties and public service.

Events Hosted:

• Flag Retirement Ceremonies: We conduct dignified flag retirement ceremonies, where worn or damaged flags are respectfully retired.
• Patriotic Observances: Our unit participates in various patriotic events, including Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Veterans Day celebrations.
• Community Demonstrations: We collaborate with local fire departments and other organizations to provide educational demonstrations and safety lessons for the community.
• Parades and Public Appearances: The Honor Guard proudly marches in parades and appears at public events to display the colors and represent the Alzafar Shrine Center.
• Ceremonial Duties: We perform ceremonial duties at Shrine functions, ensuring the proper presentation of the colors during official events and gatherings.

About the Shriners

Shriners International is a fraternity based on fun, fellowship, and the Masonic principles of brotherly love, relief, and truth. Shriners are also dedicated to supporting Shriners Hospitals for Children, a healthcare system of 22 hospitals that provide pediatric specialty care, innovative research, and outstanding teaching programs. The Alzafar Shrine Center, part of Shriners International, upholds these values by engaging in philanthropic efforts and community service.
