Ashley Michaelis, M.S., CCC-SLP

Ashley Michaelis (she/her) is a speech-language pathologist with over 13 years of experience specializing in voice rehabilitation, upper airway disorders, and neurogenic communication disorders. With a background in Voice Performance & Music Education from Case Western Reserve University and the Cleveland Institute of Music, Ashley's own experiences with voice difficulties led her to pursue a career in Speech-Language Pathology. She earned her graduate degree from the University of Wyoming and has since worked in diverse clinical settings, including private practice, outpatient rehabilitation, inpatient care, and multidisciplinary specialty clinics.

Ashley is the owner of Empowered Voice Rehabilitation LLC, where she provides mobile endoscopy services and specializes in treating complex voice, upper airway, swallowing, and neurologic speech & language disorders. She has also served as an adjunct faculty member at the University of Vermont, teaching the graduate-level course on Voice Disorders. An ASHA Ace Award recipient and mentor for the MedSLP Collective, Ashley is passionate about client-centered, evidence-based voice therapy and professional education.

A sought-after speaker and instructor, Ashley has presented at national and international conferences, including the ASHA Convention, the VentHaven International Ventriloquy Convention, and MedSLP Summits, and has been featured on multiple professional podcasts. She is an active member of The Voice Foundation, ASHA SIG 3: Voice Disorders, and the MedSLP Collective. She is dedicated to advancing the field through clinical instruction, mentorship, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
