Ballet fit a group-based fitness programme, based on the principles of classical ballet, yoga and mat pilates. It is the only UK based ballet programme to be quality assured and fully endorsed by Skills Active. Skills Active regulates and verifies training in the active leisure sector through an endorsement process, ensuring that training is of the highest quality. 

The Ballet fit programme was created by Beth Thompson, a former dancer and dance teacher. Tired of the gym and traditional aerobics classes, Beth created a new fitness programme based on her childhood love of classical ballet. Ballet fit grew from a single class to a fully endorsed, quality assured, licensed training programme.

Ballet fit is a fitness class combining traditional ballet-barre exercises, a low impact cardio workout and floor based toning exercises. Classes are based on simple exercises and choreography borrowed from classical ballet and are suitable for all ages and levels of ability. Ballet fit classes can be set to popular or classical music.


Ballet fit classes are open to all age groups and all levels of fitness ability.  No prior experience of ballet or dance is required.
