Blue Apple
Founded in 2005, Blue Apple Theatre empowers learning disabled people to shine on stage and in life, supporting them to develop and showcase their performing arts skills in acting, dance, singing and film to public audiences. Despite recent progress, learning disabled people still face social barriers, suffering exclusion, stigma and isolation. Blue Apple want to change this and help create a positive fairer future.
Empowerment through performance.
Blue Apple Theatre believes that direct involvement in the arts greatly helps in the building of a more inclusive and equal society. we use the skills and enhanced confidence gained through performing on stage as an opportunity to raise the ceiling of expectation for learning disabled people and to advocate for change. We aim to help our participants achieve their social, personal and theatrical potential through the challenge of appearing on stage in public performance.
