British Museum National Programmes

Through our National Programmes, the British Museum works in partnership with around 250 UK museum and heritage organisations every year – on object loans and touring exhibitions, partnership galleries, skills-sharing and training initiatives.

As part of this, our Knowledge Share programme is designed to support the professional development of the UK’s museum and cultural heritage sector. Thanks to the support of the Vivmar Foundation, we partner with museums nationwide to share best practice, skills and expertise across the wide spectrum of museum work.

Our aim is to support both individual museum professionals and their organisations, creating opportunities to learn from each other, build networks and foster collaboration.
