British Society of Clinical & Academic Hypnosis (BSCAH)

The British Society of Clinical & Academic Hypnosis (BSCAH) is a small charity whose members are all health care professionals. The Society promotes academic research into hypnosis and trains health care professionals to utilise hypnotic techniques as an adjunct to their pre-existing skills. You can learn how to teach self-hypnosis and imagery to your patients. These tools can help you, and your patients, feel calmer and more able to cope. Hypnotherapy has been used to manage a variety of symptoms, including pain, nausea, anxiety, depression, needle phobia and claustrophobia. Neuroimaging techniques are now shedding light on the nature of hypnosis and suggestion. We are proud to be running the only University Accredited level 6 Advanced Diploma/ Graduate Certificate/ BSc in Clinical Hypnosis, Related Techniques and Communication Skills. BSCAH also runs various workshops throughout the UK. You can find out more at
