The principal owners of Cadenza are Alan & Sue Mooney. Alan & Sue are big fans of live music and theatre. In addition to owning Cadenza, they are strong supporters of Maine State Music Theatre. Sue has been on the MSMT Board of Trustees for several years. They also own 5 Depot Street, the building that houses Cadenza.

Steve Poulos and Dan Skwire are also owners and supporters of Cadenza. Steve is enthusiastic about live performances and frequently attends Broadway shows and Jazz events in New York. Dan is a serious music fan, especially piano, and plays piano himself.

Cadenza grew out of a somewhat serendipitous combination of ideas and energy from several talented musicians, serious live music fans, outstanding sound and lighting technicians and highly experienced performers and producers.
