Careers and Employability Service

Who is the Careers and Employability Service?

We combine expert knowledge and advice in:

The Careers and Employability Service provide careers information, advice and guidance; Recruitment service; volunteering opportunities and a programme of career-related events for students and graduates.

We work with a number of employers to promote graduate opportunities to recruit University of Portsmouth students for volunteering and work experience roles and to place graduates into full-time employment.

We work closely with faculties to support and deliver Career Management Skills modules and disseminate the results of the Destinations of Leavers from Higher Education (DLHE) survey.

Who can access our Services?

Whether you are currently studying at the University of Portsmouth or you have graduated within the past five years, we are able to help you with your career planning.

How can you access careers, recruitment, volunteering and enterprise services?

The Careers and Employability Service have an open information centre where you can come to use the computers and work areas to research your career options and a careers advisor is always on offer to help.

We also offer an ‘E-Guidance’ service to all students and graduates in which Careers Advisers will answer careers-related questions by email, and also a ‘Just Ask’ email service in which we will respond to 'quick queries' and information requests.

I still need more.
