I’m Catarina — but most people call me Cat.

I am self-taught jewellery artist, creative soul, and founder of Hue Are Bright — I’m the bold, curious maker behind this joyful little universe.

Since childhood, I’ve been obsessed with bold accessories, quirky bags, fun socks — anything that helped me express who I was, even if it didn’t “match.” That’s where it all began.

Always on the hunt for fun, kitsch, one-of-a-kind jewellery and treasures, I realised early on that I didn’t want to rely on trends or follow fashion rules. So, I started making my own. Sometimes they turned out brilliantly… sometimes not so much. But every piece brought me joy.

Each creation became an act of self-expression. Even now, when I look back at some designs and laugh, it’s with love — because each piece holds a memory, a spark, a story.

It was during creative afternoons with my younger cousins that something clicked: my hidden passion for teaching and sharing the joy of making. Whether it’s kids, teens, or adults, I love helping others tap into their creativity — judgement-free and joy-filled.

Hue Are Bright is more than jewellery — it’s a mindset.

It’s not about trends, or making “perfect” things.

It’s about personal expression.
