Cambridge Computational Biology Institute (CCBI)

The CCBI was established to help bring together the unique strengths of Cambridge in medicine, biology, mathematics, computer science, physics and engineering.  Its aim is to promote excellence in research and teaching and to provide a focus in the Cambridge region for computational biology interpreted broadly.

Cambridge University Health Partners (CUHP)

CUHP is one of six Academic Health Science Centres in England and is recognised as an internationally competitive centre of excellence.  CUHP aims to improve care by

  • catalysing new partnerships between the NHS, Industry and Academia
  • enabling the safe, rapid transfer of research from the laboratory to the patient
  • helping to train today's and tomorrow's healthcare workforce
  • working closely with partners on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus and beyond

Located at the heart of Europe’s leading biotechnology cluster, the Cambridge Biomedical Campus (CBC) combines world-class biomedical research, patient care and education on a single site. With companies such as GSK and AstraZeneca locating, alongside the new Papworth Hospital (due to open in the spring of 2018) and a thriving community of academics and healthcare professionals, the Campus is on track to becoming one of the leading biomedical centres in the world by 2020.
