Chef Kanthi Thamma

Chef Kanthi Thamma was born and raised in Hyderabad, the culinary capital of southernIndia and is still inspired by its history, food and flavours of his childhood. It was in hismother’s kitchen where he was inspired to become a chef, a journey that has seen himtravel the world in search of culinary inspiration and excellence.At age 18 Kanthi started travelling, cooking in Switzerland, Disney World Resorts in the USAand Disney Cruise Lines before settling in the UK. Gaining experience with some of the UK’smost acclaimed chefs. During the last three years Kanthi was instrumental in setting-up andmanaging one of Brighton’s most successful brands; Curry Leaf Café, which currently hastwo restaurants and a Kiosk at the Brighton Railway Station. Pulling on the cuisines of hischildhood in India, he gained the attention of critiques and diners. He quickly garneredmany awards and accolades.Spice Circuit is born of Kanthi’s passion for food and travel and this is something that he hasalways wanted to pursue. He takes a lot of pride in presenting his country's rich culinaryheritage and superb hospitality through his food events, tours and pop-ups across the globe.
