Chess Valley Male Voice Choir

The objects of the Chess Valley Male Voice Choir are to bring quality singing to the Chilterns, to raise money for charity and to provide pleasure for audiences and members.

The choir was founded in 1993 in Chesham, Buckinghamshire, by a small group of male voice choir enthusiasts who wanted to sing locally.

About 19 men turned up at the first rehearsal and numbers grew rapidly. At the outset much help was received from friends in the Honley Male Voice Choir from near Huddersfield, and the Rushmoor Oddfellows Choir, Aldershot.

The choir gave its first performance to family and friends in December 1993.
Progress was rapid and in February 1994 the choir was awarded an Honours Certificate at the Chesham Arts Festival.  The choir has been on concert tours to Prague, Bruges, Bensheim and Krakow.
