Chiltern Open Air Museum

An award winning open air museum set within 45 acres in the beautiful Chilterns countryside. The Museum is home to over 30 rescued and reconstructed historic buildings that were the homes or workplaces of people in the Chilterns. Buildings include an Iron Age roundhouse, 1947 prefab, wychert cottage, Victorian toll house, Blacksmiths forge, tin chapel and Victorian farmstead.

The Museum is a great film location and has featured on Horrible Histories, Downton Abbey, Midsomer Murders and Call the Midwife.

Close to a number of main routes and can be reached from the M25 at Junction 17.   Follow the brown tourist signs to the Museum and signposted from the A413 at Chalfont St Peter and Chalfont St Giles.
