Chris Rollings

a very experienced mental health trainer and is passionate about improving knowledge in relation to mental health and reducing stigma and discrimination. He is a former senior police officer and senior manager in the housing sector, and now delivers mental health training across the country. He is also a trained and practicising crisis volunteer for the national SHOUT text service, and helps people in crisis.   

Chris runs his own training and consultancy business in the Midlands. He was a senior police officer for over 30 years and has extensive experience in managing people in often pressurised situations. During his time in the police he became a national lead in respect of missing persons and was also involved in developing joint working with mental health services and with local providers improved awareness and knowledge around mental health
issues. After a spell as a Head of Service for a social housing provider in the East Midlands Chris started providing resilience and confidence training to organisations and individuals using Mindspan. This included delivering
workshops to over 2,000 young people in the summer of 2017 and 2018 on the National Citizen Service programme, as well as delivering courses to organisations as diverse as British Gas and the Caldecott Foundation.  

Chris is an experienced Adult and Youth MHFA Instructor and has delivered the two day, one day and half day courses to organisations, industry, schools, colleges and youth workers across the country. These include locations far and wide such as Guildford, Hemel Hempstead, Leicester, Kettering, London, Maidstone, Hereford,
Braintree, Peterborough, Oxford, Derby, Thetford, and Leeds.  With a degree in psychology Chris has a passion to understand and help others. As well as being an Associate Trainer with MHFA England he is also an Associate trainer with Student Minds. He is a very enthusiastic trainer with excellent feedback:
