Combat Stress is the UK’s leading mental health charity for Veterans providing specialist clinical treatment and welfare support to UK Veterans suffering from psychological injuries.
Founded 95 years ago, Combat Stress has since supported more than 100,000 ex-Service men and women. Their work is as vital today as it was after the First World War.
Combat Stress are currently supporting more than 5,900 ex-Service men and women across the UK – more than at any time in our long history. The youngest Veteran is just 18 years old, the oldest is 97.
In 2014/15 they received 2,264 referrals – a 26% increase on the previous year. They are currently helping 971 Veterans who served in Afghanistan and 1,185 who served in Iraq.
