Cornish Books is the creative home of author and publisher Alexandra, who specialises in bringing Cornish legends, folklore, and original tales to life for young readers. With a background in writing, publishing, and children’s illustration, Alexanda has independently published multiple children’s books, including the popular Cornish Legends series, The Rabbit and the Stars, and Nanny Knits a Moon.

Passionate about supporting other writers, Alexandra founded Cornish Books to share both stories and knowledge—helping aspiring authors navigate the often-daunting world of self-publishing. Having gone through the process first-hand, from editing and illustration to printing and distribution, Alexandra now runs workshops and courses to demystify the publishing journey and empower others to see their own books in print.
