Council for British Archaeology and University of York Archaeology Department
The Council for British Archaeology is an educational charity. The established voice for archaeology in the UK, we are equally at home championing volunteers in a muddy field or lobbying MPs in Westminster. Our independence enables us to inform, support and advise all UK archaeological exploration. We've been doing this for 70 years, but we're always looking to the future - bringing a 21st century approach to unearthing the past.
The Department of Archaeology at York University is internationally recognised as both a vibrant research community and a centre of excellent teaching. We offer a diverse range of undergraduate and postgraduate degree courses, and pride ourselves on providing a supportive, enthusiastic, and challenging academic atmosphere which enables our students to achieve their full potential.
