D6: Culture in Transit

D6: Culture in Transit is an international visual arts producer based in Newcastle, UK. Artist-led research in the form of new ideas, understanding and exchange lies at the heart of what we do.

In co-producing new experiences and spaces for professional development, we take creative journeys with artists focussing on societal and environmental issues that concern and connect us.

This work often evolves over long periods of time as a means to respond, reflect and adapt what we do and how we do it. We build relationships and programmes of work with rigour, care, sensitivity and generosity. This is the foundation of how we articulate co-production and exchange.

We are not service providers. We do not have a venue, nor do we have set or static audiences.

Our value as a not-for-profit organisation lies in connecting a wide range of people to understand the role and value of culture in society.

Our ambition is to question ways of seeing, being and doing and in doing so contribute towards healthier, connected societies.
