Denise Felkin

I am a portrait, editorial & fine art photographer based in the South East. I photograph, run photography courses, curate exhibitions and edit pictures.

In 2014 I was a finalist in the AOP Awards and received a Honourable Mention from IPA.

My photography migrates between creative portraiture and documentary art. It sits comfortably both in an editorial capacity or in a gallery environment. I am driven by research led projects. I collaborate with my subjects to find inspiring stories and locations to create cutting edge images that speak out about current issues. I work closely with people’s characters to capture the true essence of their personality. I add captions, direct quotes or recorded interviews to reveal a truthful voice of contemporary themes and promote unity, equality and compassion.
